Weekly Tech - February 10th of 2025
Could Fourier's transformation be visualized? A RAG system with Meilisearch and how to optimize your PHP applications using native function, yes, this week is pretty light, ready?
Welcome everyone, I hope you’re all fine?
New week, new weekly tech and this week, I lacked some time to explore and test topics / tools, my local Brave browser is full of links and looks like a highway at the end of the day, I should have more time next week to clean it and list the links here.
Well, enough talk, time to start.
Let’s start with common knowledge and a paper from the Meta team about translation the brain waves / electrical signals into text, the formulas are quite hard but we can see some future usages in LLMs and so on, there’s also a link about exploring Fourier’s transformations / waves visually, a must read.
Common knowledge
Well, let’s continue with the database and especially Meilisearch on how to use it as a RAG engine to improve your applications and search experiences using few tips / tricks.
Database
Time to talk about machine learning and how Rust can be used to improve the performances and resources usage (mostly in arrays for now) thanks to libraries.
Machine learning
Last topic with PHP and the usage of get_memory_usage
to improve performances and reduce the resources usage.
PHP
That’s a wrap for this week, don’t forget to like / comment if you liked this weekly tech, you know the deal, let’s meet again next week, same day, same place.
See you on Friday!
